Stencil printing

I got inspired by the latest issue of Martha Stewart's magazine featuring silk screen printing so I ran to the craft store but couldn't find the supplies I needed. Therefore, I ended up buying some stencils and paints. I was clueless as to what kind of paints and brushes to use for stenciling so I took courage to just pick up the ones I thought would work.

I was a little .. just a little frustrated at first because I didn't know how to control my paint yet. I was also painting hard enough that the bristles were crossing the lines that are not supposed to be painted.
You definitely need to hold the stencils really tight and try your best not to lift them.
I actually went back to the craft store and found stick-on stencils which only work on glasses so I tried them on jars and votives. If you can find stick-on for paper, definitely use them . They're so much better.
I had fun doing this but I really wanna get myself a gocco =(

Not bad for a first-timer with 0 knowledge in this field.

Cake toppers have been really popular with the brides in the past years and I've always been a fan of those humorous toppers like this one - ( That one is just so me =) )

Until I stumbled upon this personalized caricature figurine of your own photos like this

I think they're soooooo cute but I don't know if I would spend that much for our cake topper. Would you?

I've always admired other brides-to-be's creativity and somehow, deep within me , I know that I can be just as motivated. I may not have the talent that they have but I have the same passion my co-brides possess.

I was browsing for a good but affordable comforter set and I came across this $9,000 set at Amazon. Mind you, that's already on sale. I couldn't believe it when I saw the $$$. I took a closer look to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.
